How does a Foam Bevel Cutter work?

Its use is quite straightforward: insert a fresh 18 mm blade into the holder, set your desired angle, and lock it in place. The base of the cutter rests flush against your material, and the angled blade slices cleanly as you apply gentle forward pressure. Because the blade remains at a fixed tilt, it produces a smooth, continuous beveled edge that would be difficult to replicate with a regular craft knife. What materials can it handle?

Ideal materials include EVA foam sheets (especially 2–10 mm thick), foamboard, thin polystyrene (styrene), thick cardboard, thin plasticard plastics, foamed PVC, XPS, cork, balsa wood, and other modeling foams. These materials are frequently used in costume making, wargaming terrain, and architectural modeling, making our tool a versatile addition to any maker’s toolkit.

It is not recommended for cutting hard plastics, dense resin casts, or any metal-based material, as these could damage the blade and compromise safety. However, for its intended uses, it offers reliable performance and clean cuts with minimal effort.
