The Best Cosplay Shop Online for cosplay supplies

The world of cosplays is an art form that combines creativity, skill, and passion for anime, comic, video game, and movie characters. The purpose of their costumes is to replicate a character's clothing and accessories as faithfully as possible, including their character once dressed in them. To achieve this, it is essential to have the right cosplay supplies of the highest possible quality to obtain optimal results. The Green Stuff World cosplay shop offers a wide selection of products designed to facilitate the creation of costumes and accessories, from foams to paints and many other specialized supplies.

What will you find in our cosplay store?

In our cosplay shop, you will find all kinds of supplies to create your costumes and achieve a professional finish. Among the most outstanding are:

Foams

One of the basic supplies is foam, which is widely used for both larger surfaces and costume accessories. Among its main characteristics are its flexibility and ease of handling, which make it comfortable both to work with and to form part of the costume. Our online store is constantly growing for now, you can find:

  1. EVA Foam is one of the most popular supplies in the world of costume play, as its versatility allows it to be used in a wide variety of contexts, such as accessories and costume items (armor, shields, swords, etc.), as well as in small decorative details, among other elements. Its lightness and ease of cutting, gluing, and molding allows artists to create complex pieces economically with admirable results. In addition, this foam can be painted or textured to imitate other materials, making it ideal for customizing costumes and achieving realistic finishes.
  2. Air Dry foam clay available in our cosplay shop can be used in a variety of ways when making cosplay costumes. It is very useful for creating details and accessories, as well as for precisely concealing joints without adding much weight to the piece. Thanks to its malleable texture when fresh, it allows you to sculpt armor, weapons, and other decorative elements with a lightweight result. When it dries, it hardens while maintaining a certain flexibility, which makes it easy to repair and adjust if necessary. It is especially useful for those who want to achieve fine, detailed finishes, as it can be worked with basic modeling tools and adapts to different techniques such as hand molding or the use of silicone molds.
  3. Polystyrene foams: These supplies, like the previous ones in the cosplay shop, are very light. They can be used in the making of props, armor, accessories, and decorative pieces of all kinds. Their ease of cutting, molding, and sanding allows cosplayers to create three-dimensional structures with precise details. With the help of other products, such as resin, putties, or primers, realistic finishes can be achieved that imitate different textures, such as leather or metals. In addition, their textures and lightness make them perfect as a padding material for the interior of costumes and helmets, as well as for cushioning.

Thermoplastics and other special sheets

Thermoplastics have revolutionized the creation of cosplays due to their ease of heat molding and final rigidity. In addition, in our cosplay shop, we have other types of sheets with special features.

The characteristics of ThermoArt allow it to be used to create different parts of a costume: accessories, props, armor, helmets, and all kinds of details. When heated, whether with a heat gun, hot water, or in an oven, it becomes flexible and malleable, allowing it to be molded and sculpted with precision to adapt it to any design. Once cooled, the supplies regain their rigidity, becoming a strong and durable piece.

This product, exclusive to the GSW Cosplay shop, is ideal for smooth or textured finishes and can be sanded, painted, and treated to imitate different materials, such as leather, stone, or metal. Complex and realistic details are easier to achieve and with a more professional result.

Helmet Visor and Lenses

Many cosplays include helmets, glasses, or other accessories with transparency that require a material that imitates glass or a visor. For these cases, the best option is to use transparent TAC sheets, which not only imitate glass but also protect the eyes, as they are polarized and have UV 400 protection. These sheets are easy to cut and customize, allowing for precise shapes and realistic finishes.

Glues and Adhesives

Many of the cosplay supplies used in costumes require glue or adhesive to join the different parts or details. There are also adhesive materials that can be used as accessories for cosplays. The most common, and available in our cosplay shop, are:

  1. Contact glue is used to join flat, flexible surfaces such as EVA Foam, plasticard, and other supplies commonly used in the creation of props, armor, and other elements of costumes. For it to work, it is necessary to apply the glue to both surfaces, leave it to dry briefly so that a sticky layer forms, and then press both parts firmly together. This technique allows for a quick and very strong bond.
  2. Cyanoacrylate glue, commonly known as “super glue”, is used to bond small parts and details quickly and efficiently. Its short drying time and strong adhesion make it perfect for instantly joining small pieces and making minor repairs to already assembled structures, allowing supplies such as plastic, metal, or EVA Foam, among others, to be joined. It is important to use it precisely, as excessive application can result in rigid joints or surface stains.
  3. Special adhesive tapes: Some tapes create surprising effects, such as glow in the dark tape, which creates lighting effects and highlights details on costumes and accessories that need it at night or in low-light environments. Absorbing ambient light and emitting glow in the dark allows you to outline contours, accentuate shapes, and add a mystical or futuristic touch to any piece.

Cosplay paints

We have a wide variety of paints for all tastes and needs. Having the right paints is essential to give your costume the realism it needs to perfectly imitate the character it represents. Among this wide range of possibilities, you will find the following paints:

  1. Acrylic paints are one of the most common types of paint used by cosplayers due to the wide range of colors available. Their fast drying time and the wide range of colors available allow you to create shading, gradient, and texture effects that enhance the depth and realism of the pieces. In addition, they can be diluted with water to obtain different levels of transparency or applied in multiple layers to achieve a more uniform and resistant finish. In this way, it is possible to personalize and transform basic supplies into unique and visibly striking creations.
  2. Flexible paints. Flexible paints are the latest addition to our cosplay shop. They are a type of paint specifically designed to adhere to and resist movement on flexible materials such as EVA Foam, latex, fabric, leather, 3D prints, or plastic, which are commonly used in the creation of cosplays. Green Stuff World has more than 20 different colors of flexible paint to imitate the exact colors of any fictional character. However, it should be noted that these paints are not elastic, so if they are stretched too much, they can break or crack.
  3. Metallic and weathered effects: Paints that create metallic and weathered effects are used to simulate metal surfaces, giving them an authentic appearance, especially when mixed with weathering effects such as natural wear and tear, rust, and tarnish that form over time. In this way, details of the narrative are visually highlighted, enriching the representation of the character. They can be applied with any painting technique to achieve the desired effect: brush, airbrush, sponge, etc. Finally, remember to protect the finish to ensure its durability. Find the different options for doing so in our website.
  4. Inks and washes from the cosplay store, as in miniature painting, are used to add depth for a more realistic finish. This technique consists of diluting the ink and applying it in a thin layer on the surface, which accentuates the shadows. This is especially useful for emphasizing relief and fine details in modeled or painted pieces, achieving three-dimensional effects that enrich the overall aesthetic. In addition, the use of acrylic inks allows for the creation of subtle gradations and color nuances.

How long does it take cosplay supplies to ship?

The time it takes for the cosplay supplies to be sent and reach the consumer depends on several factors, as there are many elements involved in the procedure from the moment the order is placed in our online cosplay shop. It should be taken into account that Green Stuff World reserves one or two days to process the order; that is, between the order entering the system with the respective payment, it is prepared, and the shipment is managed, waiting for the delivery company to pick it up. This period can be longer if the order is placed on a Friday or Saturday, as orders are not prepared on weekends. Therefore, an order placed on a Friday or Saturday will be dispatched as soon as possible on Monday and, at the latest, on Tuesday.

Once picked up by the delivery company, the time it takes for the package to reach the customer's home will depend on the chosen delivery company and the buyer's place of residence. With express delivery within Spain, the customer will have their supplies in less than a week. For people residing outside of Spain, it can take several weeks. Therefore, to ensure that the order arrives as soon as possible, take a good look at the available delivery companies when finalizing your order and choose the one that offers the best service.

How to make cosplay armor?

There are several ways to make cosplay armor, although the most common are using EVA Foam or ThermoArt (or both materials together). Depending on the character you want to imitate or the type of armor you want, you will have to follow one step or another. That's why we'll give you basic tips to guide you in any armor you're interested in creating.

The first thing you should do is choose your material, all of which is available in our website. In the case of EVA Foam, you should bear in mind that there are various thicknesses, finishes, and colors. For armor, it is common to use thick EVA Foam with a smooth finish. In addition, most artists prefer to compare black, gray, or white to paint when finished, as it will be easier to achieve the nuances of the character or armor in general. It is also important to have a good cutter, contact glue (you can add CA glue and/or a silicone gun), a hot air gun, and flexible paints. Depending on what you want to create, you may also need ThermoArt, clear plastic wrap, and white tape.

Once you have gathered all the cosplay supplies, you need to get the patterns for each part of your cosplay armor. If you want to recreate a sword, shield, or any other weapon, you may be able to find a pattern for it on the internet, or you can create it yourself. On our blog, you can find patterns for making bracers and horns. If, on the other hand, you want to make armor that fits your body, it's best to make a pattern based on your measurements. One of the most commonly used and easiest techniques for doing this is to use cling film and white plaster. Can you guess what to do with these two materials? Exactly! Wrap some cling film around part of your body, for example, your chest, and cover the film with the plaster. Now you have a blank canvas on which to design your armor however you like. Once you have finished your design, cut in a straight line where you want the piece to close.

Now, all that remains is to replicate it in EVA Foam, both the outline and the details. Use the air gun to give the foam a rounded shape. To get the perfect curvature, try on the breastplate until it fits your body completely. If you want your armor to be more rigid, cover the pieces with ThermoArt before painting. To do this, heat it with the air gun until it is malleable and place it on the foam base. With modeling tools, adjust all the details so that they are well-defined. If you choose this option, you can use medium density EVA Foam to make the armor less bulky and heavy.

Repeat this operation for all the pieces your armor needs. Depending on the design of your armor, you may need to embed details such as gemes, areas with glow tape or transparent visors, etc.
