Vacuum former for Thermoplastics

The DIN A4 Vacuum Former from Green Stuff World is an ideal tool for cosplay, crafts, modeling, and scenography. It is designed to offer precise and detailed molding of thermoplastics and compatible materials, allowing complex shapes to be replicated with ease, making it an essential resource for creators and professionals. Made of MDF and self-adhesive insulating foams, its robust and modern design guarantees efficient performance with every use.

To optimize its operation, it is recommended to apply PVA glue to the joints to improve tightness and maximize suction. It is quick and easy to assemble in just 5 minutes and includes all the necessary hardware.

It is compatible with a wide variety of thermoplastics, including ThermoArt, Worbla, and Cosplayflex.

It is important to note that this machine is NOT suitable for working with certain plastics due to their physical and chemical properties. Materials not recommended include:

• PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
• Polypropylene
• PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate)
• Methacrylate (PMMA - polymethyl methacrylate)

These materials may react inappropriately to heat or not respond well to the vacuum process, which could affect the quality of the final result and user safety.

For it to work, it requires a standard vacuum cleaner as well as a hot air gun to soften the materials. Included is 1 standard adapter compatible with almost any household or industrial vacuum cleaner on the market, with diameters of 27 mm, 33 mm, 35 mm, and 41 mm, improving the seal and vacuum efficiency.

The external dimensions are 31 x 28.4 cm, and the internal work area measures 17 x 25.5 cm; however, we recommend leaving a margin—the size of which will depend on the height of the piece you want to make—to allow the plastic to stretch properly.

• For pieces 2–3 cm tall, leave a 2 cm margin.
• For pieces 6–8 cm tall, leave a 4 cm margin.
