The thermoplastic RX5050 is an extruded material manufactured in sheets by Rhenoflex in Germany and marketed under the trade name of Worbla Finest Art for the world of Cosplay, costumes, and theater. The reference RX5050 is the generic name used by the German factory to name the material having exactly the same properties, color, adhesive on both sides and type of charges with wood as the Cosplay Worbla.

This footwear material marketed as Worbla is very popular in the world of cosplay and crafts for its ease of use and versatility. It is heat-activated, usually using a hot air gun, which allows it to be molded into any desired shape before it hardens again upon cooling. Because it is flexible and malleable, it is perfect for creating armor, weapons, masks, and many other types of detailed ornamentation and accessories.

In addition, it is a material that can be easily cut, sanded, and painted with acrylic paints, which helps to achieve professional finishes in any project in which it is used. For sanding this material, 320 grit sandpaper is recommended.

RX5050 Worbla thermoplastic is non-toxic and is made from a mixture of a cellulose-polyester composite and recycled wood powder, giving it one of its most valued advantages: its durability and ability to be remade or corrected several times with the application of heat. Thus, it is possible to make adjustments without wasting material. In the same way, any leftover Worbla Cosplay can be reused, maximizing its efficiency.

It is a self-adhesive material, thanks to its polyester hot-melt adhesive, both sides being coated, one side being completely smooth and semi-matte and the other rough and matte, so that different pieces can be joined and even fused together without the need for additional glue.
