Linden wood strips for modeling

Linden wood or Basswood is characterized by its smooth texture, very fine grain, and ease of working. It glues perfectly with PVA glue and can be cut, sanded, and carved without difficulty using the most common tools, making it an ideal material for model building, crafts, and all kinds of modeling projects, especially naval modeling and ship modeling.

This type of wood for modeling is widely used in dioramas, naval, railway, and aircraft modeling, but it is also perfect for creating scenery elements for wargames and other board games, such as houses, stairs, walkways, fences, and any type of detailed structure.

It has a light cream color, is practically uniform, and is very easy to sand, varnish, and stain. For painting, it is recommended to apply acrylic primer, especially if acrylic paints are to be used.
