Green Stuff World’s 3-6-9 Combat Ruler Pack gives you every core distance a modern tabletop general needs in one ultra-bright bundle. Three rulers—3″, 6″, and 9″—are laser-cut from 3 mm fluorescent acrylic, so their neon edges glow even under dim event-hall lighting. Laser markings are engraved on the surface, creating the numerals and the patterns.

The 3-inch ruler doubles as a multitool combat gauge: one face is subdivided at 1″, 2″, and 3″ to cover engagement range, pile-ins, heroic interventions, and aura widths at a glance. Use the dedicated 6-inch stick to verify standard infantry moves, secondary-objective bubbles, or rapid objective control. The 9-inch stick makes movements, deep-strike placements, redeploy stratagems, and deny-screens instant and error-free—lay it flat against an enemy base, pivot, and you have a perfect exclusion circle with zero tape-stretch guesswork.

Multi-model units now need to keep every model within 2″ horizontally and 5″ vertically of at least one other model in the same unit, while also ensuring that every model remains within 9″ horizontally and 5″ vertically of every other model in that unit. This extra 9″ coherency check helps prevent long “conga-line” formations and keeps squads acting like compact fighting units instead of stretched-out scoring chains.

This is exactly where a rigid 9″ gauge shines: you do not need to place the whole unit inside a printed circle or force every base to be fully contained within a template. Because the rule is based on being within distance, the important point is whether the relevant bases touch or fall within the 9″ measurement, not whether the entire model sits inside a circular area. Lay the 9″ ruler between the models that are furthest apart, check that the measurement reaches the bases cleanly, and you can confirm unit coherency quickly without arguing over flexible tape, oversized discs, or awkward template placement.

Built for competitive play, the set is 100 % compatible with WTC and slots straight into Warhammer 40k 10th-edition mission packs—but the wargame rulers are just as handy in Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, Infinity, Star Wars Legion, Bolt Action, and any other inch-based system.
