    Description

What is the Fluor Alien Ooze?

The fluorescent slime effect, or Fluor Alien Ooze, is a special effects gel from Green Stuff World’s Slime Effects line, designed to create alien slime, mucus, and secretions with a fluorescent green finish. Its thick, stringy consistency allows you to recreate viscous fluids with texture and volume on miniatures, models, and dioramas, adding an eye-catching look to monsters, creatures, and fantasy, horror, or science fiction scenes.

This fluorescent slime effect gel stretches into strands, ideal for depicting secretions between a creature’s teeth, mucus hanging from its claws, or filaments connecting different elements of a scene. Unlike an effect created solely with paint, it allows you to create three-dimensional details that protrude from the surface and connect different attachment points.

Fluor Alien Ooze is applied directly from the jar and, in its original consistency, does not drip, facilitating precise and controlled application. Its fluorescent green color is particularly well-suited for depicting alien saliva, monster secretions, and slime accumulations in science fiction settings.

The amount of gel used determines the final look: from delicate strands of mucus to thick accumulations of alien slime. Combine different thicknesses and attachment points to achieve an organic, irregular effect, with a fluorescent finish that stands out among the details of your project.

How to use Fluor Alien Ooze to create strands of fluorescent slime?

Use a toothpick to pick up a small amount of gel directly from the jar and touch it to the area of the miniature where you want to start the effect. Place the product at that first point and gently stretch it with the toothpick until it reaches a second anchor point, leaving a strand that connects both surfaces.

You can use teeth, jaws, claws, branches, and other model details as anchor points. For example, connect the upper and lower fangs of a creature to simulate fluorescent saliva between its jaws, or stretch several strands between its claws to represent remnants of a viscous alien substance.

Adjust the amount of product to create thin or thick strands. A small amount allows you to work with subtle filaments, while a larger amount adds body and volume. Alternate strands with small clusters at their ends to integrate the slime into the figure and avoid a finish that’s too uniform.

For other applications, you can alter the gel’s texture and density by adding a drop of Slime Effects Thinner. Add the thinner gradually and mix until you achieve the desired consistency. By making it more liquid, you’ll be able to spread it in thinner layers over a surface, rather than using it solely to form strands of slime. Keep in mind that dilution changes its behavior compared to the original gel.

Keep the container tightly closed when not in use and work in a well-ventilated area. Before use, read the instructions and safety warnings on the product label.
