NMM Bronze Painting Tutorial

NMM stands for  “Non-Metallic Metal”, is a term that refers to an elaborate technique used by model painters that consists of combining different tones and colors to imitate the shine, texture, or other finishes of certain types of metal. In this artificial way, it is possible to replicate how the reflected light would behave in that part of the miniature without using metallic paints.

For the NMM bronze paint, different model paints are used, applied in most cases in miniature paint brushes, and based, as mentioned above, on the form of reflection of light on different materials. In this case, a combination of specific colors has been used to achieve a bronze finish on a rusty armor.
