How to paint Skaven energy claws?

The energy claws of the famous Skaven are used to tear and wound armored characters or to break enemy shields and weapons. They are a formidable weapon in the hands of a skilled player.

In this painting tutorial, we want to show you how you can make a finish that imitates a weapon charged with energy, using the Maxx Formula color range, in a wide range of greens and oranges, marking the maximum lights of the weapon with almost pure green.

In this tutorial we will try to make the Warhammer Skaven energy claws look like metal at all times, but with a very luminous energy charge, for which we will try to use very smooth color transitions from rust orange to lighter green. At the same time, we will use scratching techniques to make the metal of the claw look used and rough.

This technique can be replicated on other types of weapons, such as swords, axes or spears, following the same directions you have used in this tutorial.
