Rusty orc axe painting tutorial

The orc race has always been a favorite of many Warhammer painters, due to the large number of effects that can be done on their weapons, shields and shoulder pads, vehicles or armor. They are, as we already said in another tutorial, the scrap dealers of the wargame, and, as such, rust and rust are hallmarks of this race.

Of course, the care of their weapons is non-existent and, when they can no longer be used, they simply change weapons. That is why, in all of them, a neglected and full of rust appearance is common.

We will show you how to do it with this battle rusty orc axe on which we will apply an aging and overuse technique, based on orange tones and many, many scratches. These you can do with our Kolinsky brushes, whose tip is perfect to achieve such fine strokes. Although we show you how to do this on a rusty orc axe, practice on any metallic surface and you will get the orc effect whenever you need it.
