What is Slime Effects Thinner?

Green Stuff World’s Slime Effects Thinner is an auxiliary product designed to modify and restore the consistency of gels in the Slime Effects line. It reduces viscosity to achieve more fluid effects and also restores products that have become excessively thick due to evaporation—for example, if the container has been left open or not sealed properly.

It is compatible with all 6 effects in the Slime Effects family, including products for depicting snot, slime, secretions, viscous blood, and other gore effects.

It has two main functions:

1. The first is to reduce the gel’s viscosity. Slime Effects have a thick, stringy consistency designed to create threads, filaments, droplets, and three-dimensional accumulations. By adding a small amount of thinner, you can achieve a more fluid texture, suitable for creating thin layers, wet spots, puddles, blood trails, secretions, or liquid gore effects.
2. The second function is to restore a Slime Effect that has become too thick due to evaporation. By adding the thinner little by little and mixing well, you can gradually return the product to a consistency suitable for use.

How to use it?

Add a small amount of Slime Effects Thinner to the gel and mix thoroughly. It’s best to add it drop by drop, checking the consistency before adding more.

To maintain the ability to create strands and filaments, use very little thinner. If you’re looking for puddles, wet layers, or more liquid effects, gradually increase the amount until you achieve the desired fluidity.

You can also mix the solution on a palette or in a separate container to adjust only the amount of product you’ll be using.

How do you restore a thickened product?

If a Slime Effect has become too thick, add a few drops of thinner and mix slowly. Repeat the process if necessary until you restore a consistency similar to the original.

It’s best to work gradually, as adding too much thinner at once can make the product too runny.

Once finished, be sure to close the bottle tightly after each use to reduce evaporation and preserve its properties for longer.
