Gold Chrome Paint

Alcohol-based metallic paint that makes it possible to achieve an effect that imitates the metallic reflection of a mirror-like chrome surface.

Although it is designed for brush application, it can also be applied with an airbrush. It can be applied to any surface regardless of its color, and the tools used must always be cleaned with alcohol.

Its bright gold finish is especially suitable for adding eye-catching metallic details to miniatures, scale models, and modeling pieces. It can be used to represent decorative elements, armor, ornaments, mechanical parts, moldings, or any surface where a polished and highly reflective gold appearance is desired.

Thanks to its formulation, it makes it possible to achieve a finish different from conventional acrylic metallic paints, as it is specifically designed to reproduce a chrome surface with a higher reflective capacity. To better preserve this effect, it is recommended to work in a controlled manner and avoid unnecessarily handling or covering the surface once finished.

As this is the version designed for brush application, it does not require a specific primer to achieve the effect. In addition, the possibility of using it both with a brush and an airbrush allows you to work from small details to larger areas, adapting the application to the needs of each project.

Drying time may vary depending on environmental conditions and the thickness of the applied layer, but it can generally range from 5 to 30 minutes, so it is recommended to protect the surface while it dries.

The effect of the mirror effect paint may be reduced or even lost if inks or varnishes are applied over it.

When fresh, this paint has the ability to dissolve the same already-dried paint underneath, so it is recommended to apply it in a single pass and on surfaces that are not too large.
