    Acrylic Resin

    Single-component Acrylic Resin powder to be mixed with water 3:1 (3 parts Resin powder and 1 part water) for a tough and resilient ceramic-like finish. Total lack of toxicity.

    This unique special formula is the perfect product to be used with moulds. Its capacity for capturing high detail and the natural resilience of the pieces makes it ideal for creating scenic pieces for wargames, railway layouts, basing or dioramas. The pieces are easy to carve, sand, paint and glue once cured.

    The Acrylic Resin dries in 30 minutes, reaching 'ultimate hardness' in 24 hours.

    Makkelijke hars voor H0 mallen

    Voor mijn modelbaan op schaal H0 maak ik gebruik van gietmallen. Om te voorkomen dat de modellen makkelijk breken, is een kunsthars een goede optie, beter dan gips. Ik gebruik hiervoor deze acrylic resin. De duidelijke leveranciersinstructie maakt het gebruik eenvoudig. Het fijne poeder komt klontvrij aan en schept makkelijk in een aanmaak potje. Water doseren geeft geen klonten tijdens het mengen: een dunne en makkelijk gietbare slurry vult de mal direct, ook in de kleinste hoekjes. Details worden dan ook goed overgebracht van de mal op het model. Tevens zorgt het er voor dat luchtbellen makkelijk weggaan. Op de modellen zijn dan ook geen luchtgaatjes te vinden, wat nog wel eens wil ontstaan als gips wordt gebruikt. Uitharden gaat zonder warmte ontwikkeling, dit voorkomt ook scheurtjes aan het oppervlak. Inmiddels al diverse brugdelen, wegen, bomen en poppetjes gemaakt. Op het relatief gladde oppervlak hecht eigenlijk elk type verf. Aanrader dus.

    Works as advertised

    It arrived with the brittle plastic container broken into pieces and absolutely everything else in the parcel was caked in the powder. Was quite a journey to wash absolutely everything, but after transferring the resin powder into a glass jar, it still works in addition to smelling like pasta sauce.
    You should mix in water a few drops at a time to get the desired consistency. It works from a thick paste all the way to a pourable slurry. The thinner stuff tends to get some bubbles, so make sure to fill in the mold properly. If possible, use two part molds as packing it tight in a one part mold may result in bits breaking off (at least if they're fine details) The final product is rather strong as long as the details are not too thin. Does not smell and can be washed with water, very convenient.

    Handige arcylic hars

    Wat een fantastisch materiaal is dit. Ik gebruik het voor het maken van steentjes ten behoeve van mijn modelspoor baan. Het acrylic hars poeder is makkelijk aan te makken door eenvoudig alleen water toe te voegen, even mengen, geeft geen klonten en is erg goed gietbaar. De suspensie vloeit makkelijk uit in mijn mallen. Door de lage viscositeit heb ik ook geen last van luchtbellen in mijn mallen waardoor mijn steentjes puntgaaf zijn. Ik ben erg tevreden over het resultaat.

    Mejor de lo esperado. Facil de trabajar y resistente una vez seco. Reproduce muy bien los detalles. Se puede colorear con un poco de pigmento y da un resultado genial para ladrillos y y piedras,

    El producto cumple a la perfeccion con los requisitos de detalles que el molde ofrezca. Aguar un poco la mezcla puede ayudar a que se reparta perfectamente por el molde, pero la capacidad del producto para sacar copias es fascinante.

    Great stuff

    Brilliant stuff to work with, really easy to mix and you don't have to worry about gloves and such when using it. Cuts nicely with a wire saw or can he carved with a craft knife.
