Cosmic Silver Metallic Paint

Green Stuff World expands its successful Metal Colors range with a revolutionary new effect: Cosmic Silver, a latex-free acrylic metallic paint with a sophisticated iridescent black silver finish, ideal for bringing miniatures and projects to life with a futuristic or arcane effect.

Formulated with ultra-fine pigments of the highest quality, this water-based acrylic paint has been designed to offer an intense, bright, high-definition metallic finish perfectly suited to both brush and airbrush application. Its high opacity and fast drying make it a versatile and efficient choice for any demanding modeler.

This paint is quite fluid, so it can be used practically directly in an airbrush. However, suppose you are going to use very low pressures in your compressor or 0.2 airbrushes. In that case, we recommend diluting it to 30% with our acrylic thinner, which is specially formulated to preserve the properties of the metallic pigment without altering its intensity or adhesion.

Applying very thin layers allows you to create color filters over other colors. If you are looking for the original cosmic silver color, you should work on a black base coat and keep in mind that insufficient layers may give a slightly darker result than what can actually be obtained with this paint. Therefore, it would be necessary to apply 3-4 very thin coats with a brush to obtain the final cosmic silver color. Airbrush applications are faster as they can be built up evenly in the same area.
