How to paint heavy rust effect on stairs?

Rust effect on stairs | Tutorial

If you know techniques to imitate rust effects, such as our liquid pigments, let us add an even more realistic touch to the finish you are looking for on your miniatures in this new tutorial. To create a rust effect on stairs, we will have the help of two products, made for each other.

We are talking about our powder metallic pigments, which you can use with our master medium as if it were metallic paints, and our oxidizer, the product that makes these pigments oxidize naturally in a very short period. The final result is a real oxidized layer, with a realistic finish that takes the miniature to another level.

Rust effect on stairs | Tutorial

As you will see in the tutorial, the use is very simple, clean, and safe; the results, are almost immediate. Just keep in mind that our oxidizer works only on metals that tend to rust and that it does not work with metallic paints, but it does work with our range of metallic pigments. You can use it by mixing it with the pigments or by applying it to the final result once you have fixed the pigment with master medium. You can then use our range of liquid pigments to add touches of color to the final result. What do you think of the finish?
