Unlike MDF wood, this material does not warp when wet, maintaining its shape and transparency intact over time. This stability makes it an excellent material for both artistic projects and technical applications. Its water resistance and non-porous surface also make it easy to clean and maintain, which is especially valuable for exhibition pieces and long-lasting projects. Methacrylate can mainly be cut with a laser or CNC milling machine, although there are also some hand tools, such as hand saws or Dremel-type cutters, that can also be used.

Available in different sizes and shapes, these acrylic sheets are suitable for projects of any scale: from small handcrafted creations to large sets and architectural models. They are especially useful for designing transparent bases for miniatures, where the base does not distract the viewer's attention, and the environment where it is placed is perfectly integrated. Its transparent nature even allows you to play with lighting using LEDs placed underneath or behind the pieces, achieving unique effects in futuristic dioramas, science fiction models, or fantasy settings.

We recommend using specific adhesives for transparent plastics, such as plastic glue or silicone glue designed for acrylics, which slightly melt the surface of the material, achieving almost invisible joints, very useful in display cases, windows, or transparent structures. In jobs where mechanical strength is a priority, it can also be combined with two-component epoxy glue. Unlike MDF wood, which has a porous surface and absorbs PVA glue, methacrylate is non-porous, so it requires this type of adhesive to ensure a strong, durable, and professional bond.
