The Dreadnought Redemptor

In this project I tried to keep a high level of contrast. I painted this Dreadnought with some base coats of different blues from above, leaving the bottom parts quite dark.

The metallics and other details were hand painted by brush.

Then I applied gloss varnish to add some oil washes (my first attempt with these), followed by a matte varnish coat to take away all the shine before the weathering.

The weathering was made using a sponge and a small tip brush.

The Burnt effect on the gun barrel was painted using an airbrush. The ground effect is a mixture of different texture paints, cat sand, beach sand and some miniature skulls, all painted and washed using a variety of colors.
